The Killer Klowns from Outer Space are the stars of the 1988 cult classic film of the same name. This B-movie gem is a perfect blend of horror and comedy, and it's gained a dedicated following over the years.

Now, you might be thinking, "Why would anyone want to dress up as a killer clown?" Well, my friend, that's the beauty of cosplay. It's all about embracing the weird and wonderful, and let's face it, these klowns are anything but ordinary.

So, You Want to Be a Killer Klown?

First things first, you're going to need a costume. Now, you could try to DIY it, but let's be real, that's a lot of work. So, we recommend checking out online retailers like Amazon or Etsy. They've got a variety of options, from full costumes to individual pieces.

When you're shopping, look for a costume that includes the classic klown features: the oversized, round head with the menacing grin, the striped shirt and suspenders, and the colorful, polka-dotted bow tie. And don't forget the gloves! Those long, pointy fingers are a must.

Accessories Make the Klown

Now, let's talk accessories. The Killer Klowns from Outer Space are armed with some pretty unique weapons. There's the popcorn gun, which shoots popcorn that turns into a sticky, gooey mess when it hits its target. And then there's the balloon animal gun, which shoots balloon animals that come to life and attack. Yes, you read that right.

If you're feeling crafty, you could try making your own accessories. But if you're like us and your crafting skills are... lacking, you can find plenty of options online. Just make sure whatever you choose is safe and won't cause any harm.

Klowning Around: Tips for Wearing the Costume

Once you've got your costume, it's time to put it on. Now, we know what you're thinking: "How do I see out of this thing?" Well, most costumes come with eye holes, but they can be a bit small. So, our tip is to use a little bit of makeup around your eyes to help you see better.

Another tip? Practice walking in the costume before you wear it out in public. Those oversized heads can make it a bit tricky to navigate, and the last thing you want is to trip and fall while you're trying to scare up some laughs.
