What I Can Be For Halloween
So, there I was, rummaging through my closet, the annual Halloween costume crisis in full swing. You know the drill, right? The clock's ticking, the house is a mess, and you're standing there, staring at a pile of clothes, wondering what on earth you're going to be this year. Last year, I was a zombie. The year before that, a vampire. I mean, don't get me wrong, I looked fabulous as a vampire, but I'm starting to feel like a one-hit wonder here.
Anyway, I got to thinking, why do we limit ourselves to the same old monsters and superheroes? I mean, sure, they're classic, but where's the fun in that? Isn't Halloween supposed to be about being someone - or something - you're not? So, I decided to make a list. A list of all the things I could be this Halloween. And you know what? The possibilities are endless!
Foodie Frenzy
Let's start with the obvious. Food. I mean, who doesn't love food? And let's face it, we've all got our favorite. So why not dress up as it? Imagine walking into a party as a giant pizza slice. I mean, you'd be the life of the party, right? Or how about a taco? A burrito? A giant bowl of spaghetti? The options are endless, and let's be real, you'd be the most delicious person there.
Must Read
But let's not stop at just food. How about a cocktail? A margarita, maybe? Or a martini? You could even be a cupcake. A boozy cupcake. Now that's a party trick.
Pop Culture Phenomenon
Alright, so maybe food's not your thing. How about something a bit more... cultural? I'm talking pop culture, baby. We've all got our favorite movies, TV shows, books, you name it. So why not dress up as your favorite character? I mean, who wouldn't want to see a room full of Katnisses, Jon Snows, or even a few Game of Thrones dragons?

But let's not stop at characters. How about a meme? Yeah, you heard me. A meme. You could be Distracted Boyfriend. Or Success Kid. Or even that dancing hot dog from the Snapchat filters. I mean, it's not like anyone would expect it, right?
Nature's Calling
Alright, so maybe you're feeling a bit more... natural this year. Well, why not embrace it? You could be a tree. A really stylish tree. Or a flower. A giant sunflower, maybe? Or how about a bird? A peacock, perhaps? You could strut around the party, showing off your feathers. I mean, who wouldn't want to be the most fabulous bird in the room?
But let's not forget about the animals. You could be a lion. A tiger. A bear. Ooh, a bear! You could even be a unicorn. A real unicorn. I mean, who wouldn't want to see that?

Time Traveler
Now, I know what you're thinking. "But what if I want to be something... different?" Well, how about something... timeless? I'm talking time travel, people. You could be a dinosaur. A caveman. A medieval knight. Or even a futuristic robot. The possibilities are endless!
But let's not forget about the classics. You could be a flapper from the roaring twenties. A hippie from the sixties. A disco diva from the seventies. Or even a grunge rocker from the nineties. The past is full of costume potential, people!

Out of This World
Alright, so maybe you're feeling a bit more... extraterrestrial this year. Well, why not embrace it? You could be an alien. A robot. A spaceship. Or even a planet. A really groovy planet. You could dance around the party, being all... planetary.
But let's not forget about the mythical creatures. You could be a mermaid. A unicorn. A phoenix. Or even a dragon. A fire-breathing dragon. I mean, who wouldn't want to see that?
So there you have it. A whole list of costume ideas that are anything but ordinary. So this Halloween, I challenge you. Don't be a zombie. Don't be a vampire. Be something different. Be something you. And most importantly, have fun with it. After all, that's what Halloween's all about.
