Where Can I Get White Face Paint
So, there I was, scrolling through my Instagram feed, when I stumbled upon a friend's post from last Halloween. She was rocking a killer whiteface look, and it got me thinking, "Where on Earth can I get my hands on some of that ghostly goodness?"
Now, I'm not talking about the cheap, runny stuff that'll leave you looking like a sweaty Casper. I want the good stuff. The kind that stays put, doesn't crack, and makes me look like I've just stepped out of a Tim Burton movie.
But where to start? The internet's a vast place, and let's face it, not all of it is reliable. So, I decided to do some digging. And by digging, I mean I spent an unhealthy amount of time scrolling through Google and YouTube, until my eyes were crossing and my cat was giving me that "You're doing it again, aren't you?" look.
Must Read
First Stop: Amazon
Amazon, the online shopping mecca, right? I mean, if they don't have it, does it even exist?
After filtering through pages of results, I found a few promising options. There was this one brand, Ben Nye, that kept popping up. They had great reviews, and their whiteface paint, the Luxury Creme Makeup, seemed to be a fan favorite. But at around $20 a pop, it was a bit more than I was expecting to spend.

Then there was this other brand, Kryolan. Their Dermacolor White paint was a bit cheaper, but the reviews were a bit mixed. Some loved it, some thought it was too thick. I was starting to feel like Goldilocks, trying to find the paint that was just right.
Next Up: Art Supply Stores
You know, those places where you can buy paint, brushes, and canvases. I figured if it's good enough for artists, it's good enough for me.

After a quick Google Maps search, I found a local art supply store and popped in. The guy behind the counter was super helpful. He recommended this brand called Schmincke. They had a whiteface paint called the Lidocain, which he swore by. It was a bit pricey, but he assured me it was worth it.
But here's the thing, folks. Art supply stores aren't always the most... user-friendly. I mean, I'm not an artist. I just want to look like one for a night. So, while the paint was great, I wasn't sure if I was ready to commit to the whole art supply store experience.

Last Stop: Beauty Supply Stores
Now we're talking. These places are like the holy grail of makeup. If they don't have it, it's probably not worth having.
I hit up my local beauty supply store and asked the lady behind the counter about whiteface paint. She pointed me towards this brand called Monistat-Derm. Yes, you read that right. The anti-fungal cream brand also makes face paint. Who knew?

Anyway, their DermaColor White paint was affordable, had great reviews, and was even used by some professional makeup artists. Plus, it was available at my local drugstore. Jackpot!
And the Winner Is...
So, after all that searching, I finally found my holy grail of whiteface paint. The Monistat-Derm DermaColor White paint was the one. It was affordable, easy to find, and most importantly, it worked like a charm.
And there you have it, folks. My journey to find the perfect whiteface paint. I hope this little tale helps you on your own quest. Happy haunting!
