Who Makes Ferris Zero Turn Mowers

Ever wondered who's behind those zippy, lawn-mowing marvels that make your neighbors green with envy? We're talking about Ferris Zero Turn Mowers, of course! Let's dive into the world of these lawn-care superstars and meet the folks who make them purr like a kitten on a sunny day.

Meet the Mower Magicians

Picture this: a small town in Wisconsin, population around 10,000. That's where you'll find Ferris Industries, the brainchild of one man, Larry Ferris. Yep, you heard it right. One guy started this mowing revolution in his garage back in 1993. Talk about a rags-to-riches story, right?

Now, you might be thinking, "How did one guy change the way we mow our lawns?" Well, buckle up, because it's time to get into the nitty-gritty.

From Garage to Global

Larry wasn't always a mower mastermind. He started out as a farmer's kid, tinkering with engines and dreaming big. Fast forward to the early '90s, Larry had an epiphany while mowing his own lawn. He thought, "There's gotta be a better way!" And thus, the first Ferris Zero Turn Mower was born.

Word spread like wildfire. Folks were loving these mowers, and soon, Larry's garage was bursting at the seams. He moved operations to a proper factory, and the rest, as they say, is history. Today, Ferris mowers are sold worldwide, making lawn care a breeze for millions.

What Makes Ferris, Ferris?

So, what's the secret sauce that makes Ferris mowers stand out? Let's break it down.

Zero Turn, All the Fun

Ever seen a Ferris mower in action? It's like watching a ballet dancer on wheels. That's thanks to the zero-turn technology. Two independent hydrostatic transmissions let you spin on a dime, making tight turns a breeze. No more weaving in and out of trees like a drunken sailor!

And get this - the steering levers are designed to mimic a video game controller. Because who said lawn mowing can't be fun?

Built Like a Tank, Rides Like a Dream

Ferris mowers are built to last. We're talking heavy-duty frames, commercial-grade decks, and engines that could power a small city. But here's the kicker - they ride like a dream. Suspension systems smooth out the bumps, and comfy seats make even the biggest lawns feel like a Sunday drive.

Oh, and did we mention they're fast? These mowers can zip around your yard faster than your kid on a sugar high. Talk about a time-saver!

Meet the Ferris Family

Ferris Industries might have started with just Larry, but today, it's a family affair. His kids, Kari and Ryan, have joined the business, bringing fresh ideas and a new generation of mowing magic.

And it's not just the Ferris family making these mowers shine. There's a whole crew of dedicated folks in that Wisconsin factory, each playing a part in bringing these lawn-care superstars to life.

From Wisconsin to Your Yard

So, the next time you're out mowing the lawn, remember the story behind your trusty steed. It's not just a mower - it's a testament to one man's dream, a family's passion, and a whole team's hard work. And who knows? Maybe you'll find yourself zipping around your yard with a little more pep in your step.

Happy mowing, folks!
